Truehack 5
Branding | Event design | Swags
Truelayer's fifth hackathon, TrueHack 5, focused on “killing” cards with open banking. To enhance the event's theme, we created a series of visuals and merchandise that take inspiration from the aesthetics of the popular TV series ‘Squid game’” Each touchpoint was meant to create an immersive experience, engaging with the participants weeks before the actual event.
Overnight, three weeks before the event, we spread a series of posters, business cards, and countdown visuals across the office and on communication channels. The most curious employees scanned the QR code and landed on a site that explained the rules of the game and invited them to participate.
On the day of the hackathon, we distributed a gamer pack containing snacks, stickers, a t-shirt, and a slide deck for presenting their work at the end of the 24-hour hacking period.
The week after the event, we shared a video with participants and on social media channels, to leave a happy memory and create hype for any potential candidates who would love to experience a similar activity at Truelayer.
Behind the project
Such events require intensive stakeholder management and a lot of organizational work. Truehack5's incredible success is thanks to the dedication of all the designers, engineers, and organizers who worked to bring people together and provide them with an unforgettable experience.
