TransferGo brand
When we refreshed the brand of TransferGo—a money transfer service for migrants, we wanted to convey dynamism and movement, but also simplicity—the sense that with us, it's easy to send money fast. We did that by simplifying its design system and focusing on inclusive, confident, yet humble content.

Transferring money can be perceived as a slow and stressful experience. To give a sense of speed and ease, the brand is based on movement. A square and a circle, representing the exchange of currency, are the core of the design language and are used consistently across the whole design system. Clear and straightforward copy empowers the users and gives them a sense of purpose.
Dynamic and direct
TransferGo wants to be a pocket companion for transfers, money management, and daily life. Everyday language and bright visuals are used to create a sense of empathy.
More technical elements (like exchange rates) are paired with a straightforward tone to make content easy to read and understand.
Human and useful
The content always adjusts to the context. To avoid confusion, animations, text, and UI components on the TransferGo website react to the IP of the user and show flags, currency, location, and language specific to the user’s settings.
Relevant everywhere
The TransferGo app guides the user through the transfer with a clean and neutral layout. Accent colors are used to group tasks, and currency, as well as the amount, are always visible to reassure about the progress of the transaction.
Behind the project
My main goal when I joined TransferGo was to rebuild our website. After onboarding, I quickly realized that there was still a lot of work to be done before reconsidering our web presence. The team and I started a design journey in July 2019 that saw us move from an overall brand audit to the conception and implementation of a fully scalable end-to-end design system.
